Troubleshooting Skykit Player: Resolving Common Issues - Help Center

Firewall Settings for MustHaveMenus Display Access

Learn what firewall settings are necessary to allow access to MustHaveMenus Display.
Refer to this article if there is an issue loading content to the Skykit Player.

If there is an issue loading content to the Skykit Player, one cause could be that a firewall is blocking traffic on your network.  To remedy the issue, specific domains will need to be whitelisted.  Whitelisting domains in a firewall involves creating rules or policies to allow traffic only from specific websites or domains while blocking others.

Diagnosing the Issue

Restart the Skykit Player by using the remote control to power off.
Wait until the Skykit Player shows a red light, then power back on.
With the Skykit Player and screen turned on, initiate the Diagnostics Screen by pressing the following numbers, in this order: 1 3 9 7
If the Diagnostics Screen shows that the Skykit Player is connected to a wireless network but is unable to connect to Skykit, it is likely that the Skykit Player is being blocked by a firewall or other setting within a router.

To confirm that the Skykit Player is connected to a wireless network, a valid IP address and the name of the wireless network will show.

If the Diagnostics Screen shows "Unable to connect to Skykit", the internet access required by the Skykit Player is being blocked.

Alert
If an establishment relies on an IT person to manage internet setup and networking, it is best to get them involved in the process at this point.

To ensure the Skykit Player and Displays can reach the necessary servers and services, add the sites below to a firewall's allow list:
