Rotating Scheduled Events

Learn how to rotate between two Scheduled Events that share the same display time.

Before displaying content, the Skykit Player needs to be set up and paired to a Display account.

This article expands on information from the Schedules and Playlists articles.

Creating Rotating Events on a Schedule
In a MustHaveMenus Display account select the Schedules tab.
Create a new schedule by clicking the + sign to the right of Schedules.

In the pop up that appears, enter a name for the Schedule and select Create.

Schedules can be created from Designs, Playlists and Uploads.  This article will utilize previously created Playlists.  To learn how to create a Playlist, read this article.

Select the desired content for the Schedule, and select Done.

Define the Start Date and Start Time
Define the End Date and End Time.
Select an option from the Repeat dropdown.

Select an Event Color, and then select Save.

The Calendar will appear, showing the Scheduled Event content, which was set to play from 8:30 am - 11:30 am, every day.

Continue adding Events on designated days and times for content to display.

The Happy Hour playlist is set to display from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm every day.
When there is an overlap in scheduled Events, a warning will appear, with the options to Override or Rotate.
Select Rotate.

By default, the scheduled content will rotate after the Playlist has run in its entirety, but this can be edited by adjusting the timing.  To reset a custom duration back to the default, select Run Full Playlist.  After configuring the timing, select Save.

Timing will default for a Playlist to run in its entirety, and Saved Designs will default at 120 seconds.

The Main Menu Playlist will display from 11:30 am - 8:00 pm, but will also rotate through and display the Happy Hour Playlist during the hours of 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm.
