Create a Neon Text Effect

Learn how to create a Neon-like text effect by using the Shadow option on Plain Text. 



This article builds off of knowledge from how to Add a Shadow to Plain Text.
Create a Neon Text Effect
Select a Plain Text box.
From the text editing toolbar that appears above the design, select the icon for Text Effects, which looks like the letter A on an angle.

A panel will appear on the left, with the effects of Curve and Shadow.  Select the Shadow tile.

Adjust the settings until the desired look has been achieved. 
A Neon or glowing effect can be accomplished with an Offset of zero (0), and the Blur set to the maximum of 20. 
When the Offset is at zero, the setting of Direction will not matter, but Opacity and Color can be changed.
